The successful candidate for this position will work with our multidisciplinary team dedicated to treating adult clients. This is a part-time position with potential to become full-time for an experienced individual, who is ready to go beyond traditional Substance Use Disorders or those seeking recovery counseling techniques and develop new techniques based on evidence-based, scientific methods. Responsibilities Function as a member of a treatment team comprised of the Treatment Director, Clinical Supervisor, Counselors, and other staff. Conduct group and individual sessions, family counseling as necessary for clients assigned to your caseload. Manage group dynamics, create/implement curriculum through various avenues of teaching and educating clients. Create a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes rapport building. Maintain documentation in accordance with 245 G standards. Complete intake Assessments for clients seeking services. Along with client, create and monitor an individualized treatment plan based on client's needs and abilities Complete group and individual, and case notes as required Completed weekly Treatment Plan Reviews Complete Discharge Summaries Complete any, and all additional paperwork requirements
  • Listen to and assess the needs of clients.
  • Skilled in performing the 12 core functions.
  • Maintain and participate in consultations with other professionals within the community for client team meetings/client care.
  • Openness to all avenues of recovery including abstinence, harm reduction, etc.; having the understanding that the path to recovery is not straight and requires us to work in the "grey zones" and that everyone's journey is different.
  • Awareness of cultural diversity and demonstration of sensitivity to various cultural norms and values.
  • Maintain professional license.
  • Attend all clinical staffing and other staff meetings/trainings.

Job Requirements:
The individual must have current Minnesota State Licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). ADC-t, welcome to apply Preferred to have a Minnesota mental health license (LPC, LPCC, LMFT, etc.) but not required. Minimum 1 year experience in a chemical dependency facility or related and 2-3 years related experience required, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. A minimum of two year freedom from chemical abuse problems. On-going training on of cultural awareness and demonstration of sensitivity to various cultural norms and values. Computer literate. Adheres to the MN Certification Board's Code of Ethical Conduct for Alcohol and Drug Counselors. Always abide by confidentiality and HIPAA and 42CFR. Computer literate and familiarity with Procentive is preferred.
Pay:
$28.00 - $33.00 per hour
