Provide site based intensive therapeutic interventions for adults diagnosed with a mental illness and co-occurring disorders. The program's purpose is to offer an intensive group psychotherapy experience for clients to help reduce the effects of mental illness and provide skills training to empower clients to independently live in the community. The Duties may include but are not limited to: Complete assessments and maintain client documentation under the direction of the Mental Health Professional. Facilitate or Co-facilitate groups using various intensive therapeutic interventions focused on stabilizing the client's mental health status and developing and/or improving the client's independent living, vocational, and socialization skills.WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) High School Diploma or GED and 4,000 hours working with those with mental health, developmental disabilities, or chemical dependency diagnosis: which can be part- time over several years or 2 years full time. OR Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or related fields and completes a practicum or internship or employment that (1) requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and (2) is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields (2,000 hours). OR Master's degree or another graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields. Clear DHS background study Valid Driver's license and acceptable driving record.WHY CMMHC?
