Family Support Specialist (EIDBI)Minnesota Therapy Center Inc. Pay $28.50 - $32.00 per hour Schedule 30-40 hours per week Location Primarily in-person with families in clinic, home, school, and community settings throughout Minnesota. About Minnesota Therapy Center Inc.

Position Overview Minnesota Therapy Center Inc. is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Family Support Specialist (EIDBI) to provide family training and caregiver support services for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related conditions. This role focuses on helping caregivers better understand their child's developmental and behavioral needs while teaching practical strategies that improve daily functioning, communication, emotional regulation, social engagement, and independence across environments. The Family Support Specialist will work collaboratively with families, clinical staff, and community supports to ensure caregivers feel confident, supported, and actively involved in their child's progress and treatment outcomes. We are looking for someone who combines strong clinical understanding with empathy, professionalism, cultural humility, and excellent communication skills. What You'll Do Provide individualized family training and caregiver counseling services under the EIDBI benefit Teach caregivers behavioral and developmental strategies that support skill-building and reduce interfering behaviors Help families generalize treatment goals into home, school, and community environments Educate families about ASD, developmental needs, sensory supports, and available community resources Support caregiver confidence, resilience, and participation in the child's care plan Collaborate with clinical supervisors and interdisciplinary team members regarding treatment goals and progress Maintain accurate and timely case documentation in accordance with DHS and EIDBI requirements Provide culturally and linguistically responsive care tailored to each family's needs Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development Qualifications Applicants must meet Minnesota EIDBI Level I provider qualifications or be eligible under a provider variance pathway. Minimum Requirements Master's degree in behavioral science or a related field OR Currently enrolled in a Master's program in behavioral science or a related fieldRelated fields may include: Psychology Social Work Counseling Human Services Child Development Special Education Sociology Occupational Therapy Speech Pathology Nursing Family Studies Behavioral Health Education Related healthcare or behavioral science fields Experience Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and providing behavior services to children with autism Experience in clinic-based, in-home, school, or community-based settings preferred At least 2,000 hours of clinical experience and/or training working with individuals with ASD or related conditions preferred Experience providing caregiver coaching, parent education, or family support strongly preferred Preferred Qualifications BCBA or BCaBA certification Eligible as an EIDBI Level I Provider through DHS Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply Strong understanding of culturally responsive care and family-centered practices Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team Why Join Minnesota Therapy Center Inc.?
