In this empowering role, you will leverage your lived experience and professional training to foster hope, resilience, and recovery. Your energetic approach will inspire clients to take active steps toward mental wellness, utilizing your skills in crisis intervention, mentoring, and motivational interviewing. Responsibilities Provide peer support by sharing personal recovery stories to motivate and empower clients facing mental health or addiction challenges Assist individuals during crises by implementing crisis management techniques and de-escalation strategies Conduct behavioral health assessments and develop personalized recovery plans in collaboration with clinical teams Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client interactions, progress notes, and service plans accurately Mentor clients through skill-building activities that promote social engagement, independence, and self-advocacy Facilitate motivational interviewing sessions to help clients identify goals and overcome barriers to recovery Support clients in navigating community resources, including housing, employment, and healthcare services Qualifications Lived experience with mental health recovery or addiction recovery, demonstrating resilience and insight Certification as a Peer Specialist from an accredited organization or state authority Knowledge of crisis intervention and crisis management techniques Experience or training in behavioral health, mental health counseling, or social work preferred Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others Familiarity with addiction counseling principles is a plus Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and communication purposes Excellent communication skills with an empathetic and positive approach Join us in transforming lives through compassionate peer support! Pay:
