Job Description

Job Overview True Light's low barrier shelter for women and children provides an environment of support and mentorship with the goal of helping women overcome barriers to housing, employment and mental/emotional well being. By providing onsite access to mental health assessments and treatment this will increase the number of women and children that are able to move out of homelessness and thrive. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health needs. Provide one on one and group psycho-educational and process groups Assess environment and client's safety status on an ongoing basis. Maintain detailed, confidential documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available resources Facilitate crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring immediate safety and appropriate follow-up support Skills Identifying risk factors, screening criteria and interventions for clients with special precautions (e.g), suicide, falls, Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen actively and convey empathy effectively Ability to build trusting relationships with diverse populations across age groups and backgrounds Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation while respecting confidentiality protocols. Masters Degree Required and LPC or LMFC, or LMSW resilience. Join us in making mental health support accessible, empowering individuals every step of the way!
