Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and art or dance therapy when appropriate Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or co-occurring disorders Develop and maintain detailed clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and ethical guidelines for medical records Facilitate intake processes for new clients, including comprehensive patient assessments and treatment planning in telehealth or in-person settings Offer specialized counseling services such as grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, chronic pain counseling, or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management efforts to ensure holistic patient care and coordinate services across outpatient, inpatient, or special education environments Skills Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and art or dance therapy Strong experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, and social work practices within behavioral health settings Skilled in working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and those with co-occurring disorders Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing purposes Familiarity with telehealth platforms for delivering remote mental health services effectively Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations using clinical research methods and evidence-based practices Excellent communication skills for patient care, medical terminology comprehension, and clinical documentation standards adherence Experience with behavioral management techniques, group therapy facilitation, case management strategies, and working within clinical ethical guidelines Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise will transform lives.
