Competitive, based on experience and caseload About Exculta Health + Wellness Exculta Health + Wellness is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable, accessible, and trauma-informed mental health and wellness services for veterans, first responders, and their families. Our mission is rooted in cultural competence, community connection, and ensuring those who serve feel heard, valued, and supported. We are expanding our mental health program and seeking a compassionate, mission-driven clinician to help lead this next phase of growth. Position Summary The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will provide trauma-informed, culturally competent counseling services to veterans, first responders, and their family members. This role will serve as a foundational clinical position within Exculta's growing behavioral health program and will work closely with leadership and community partners. This is an opportunity for a clinician who wants to do meaningful work, help shape a developing program, and be part of a collaborative, community-centered organization. Key Responsibilities Provide individual, family, and group therapy to veterans, first responders, and family members Conduct clinical assessments, treatment planning, and documentation Deliver trauma-informed and culturally responsive care Participate in peer-support and community-based programming Collaborate with Exculta staff, community health workers, and referral partners Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with ethical and legal standards Support program development and quality improvement efforts Participate in trainings, outreach events, and community engagement as appropriate Qualifications Active, unrestricted Missouri licensure as an: LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist Experience working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, or crisis-related issues Strong understanding of military and/or first responder culture (preferred) Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally competent practice Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong communication and organizational skills Passion for nonprofit and community-based mental health work Preferred Experience Experience working with veterans, first responders, or high-stress professions Group facilitation experience Experience in community mental health or nonprofit settings Bilingual abilities (a plus, not required) Compensation & Benefits Competitive contract compensation Flexible scheduling Opportunity for caseload growth Professional development opportunities Supportive, mission-driven work environment Opportunity to grow into leadership as the program expands Why Join Exculta?
