Outpatient Clinician

Position Summary This position provides comprehensive outpatient clinical services to youth and families involved with the Juvenile Office. The Licensed Clinician is responsible for delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based assessment, treatment, and care coordination services that support behavioral health stabilization, reduce system involvement, and improve family functioning. The role includes individual, group, and family therapy; clinical consultation; and collaboration with court personnel and community partners to support successful youth outcomes and community reintegration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Clinical Services

• Provide outpatient behavioral health services, including individual, group, and family therapy , utilizing evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments , including biopsychosocial evaluations, risk/needs assessments, and treatment planning.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals aligned with court involvement and family needs.
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups targeting areas such as emotional regulation, substance use, family dynamics, and pro-social skill development. Family and Systems Work
• Engage families as active participants in treatment, providing family therapy and caregiver support.
• Collaborate with Juvenile Office staff, courts, schools, and community providers to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care.
• Support youth in transitioning successfully back into the community through continuity of care and discharge planning. Consultation, Training, and Program Support
• Provide clinical consultation to Juvenile Office staff regarding behavioral health, crisis response, and youth engagement strategies.
• Develop and deliver trainings on mental health, trauma, and evidence-based practices for internal staff.
• Identify and coordinate external training opportunities to enhance staff knowledge and program effectiveness.
• Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives within the outpatient clinical unit. Documentation and Compliance
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation , including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Ensure adherence to state, federal, and ethical standards , including confidentiality (HIPAA) and applicable juvenile justice guidelines.
• Utilize data systems to track service delivery, outcomes, and program performance. Professional Development and Collaboration
• Remain current on emerging research, best practices, and treatment modalities relevant to juvenile justice and behavioral health.
• Demonstrate professionalism, ethical practice, and collaborative engagement with multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to a positive team culture that emphasizes communication, accountability, and shared goals.

Additional Tasks and Responsibilities Participate in special projects, committees, and additional assignments as needed to support program operations. Support leadership and program initiatives as assigned. Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets and required reporting. Faxes, prints and files related documents Duties and responsibilities may be changed, expanded, reduced, or deleted to meet the business needs of Greene County Family/Juvenile Court. Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current licensure in Missouri as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (or license-eligible with supervision plan, if applicable).
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience , preferably with youth and families involved in the juvenile justice or child welfare systems.
• Demonstrated experience providing evidence-based and trauma-informed care.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of community mental health resources and Missouri Medicaid systems preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation systems and standard office software.
• Knowledge of adolescent development, behavioral health disorders, and family systems.
• Ability to apply clinical judgment in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and conflict resolution .
• Ability to work effectively within a court-involved, multidisciplinary environment .
• Capacity to analyze information, make informed decisions, and adapt to changing needs.
• Effective written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders, including court personnel, families, and community partners.
• A valid Missouri Motor Vehicle Operator's license is required.
