Position Summary Information Responsibilities Primary responsibilities include: Providing individual counseling services to students experiencing mental health, emotional, and personal concerns Conducting clinical assessments and risk evaluations Responding to students in crisis Providing short-term therapeutic interventions Developing treatment plans Making appropriate referrals to community and other resources as needed Maintaining accurate, confidential clinical records in accordance with professional and legal standards Collaborating with internal and external partners to support students and to provide outreach/education for campus community related to mental health and wellness Assisting with after-hours crisis response Contributing to initiatives that promote student well-being, resilience, and retention Qualifications Master's degree in counseling from CACREP-accredited counseling program P-LPC or licensure eligible in Mississippi Salary Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university's resources. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in counseling from CACREP-accredited counseling program P-LPC or licensure eligible in Mississippi Preferred Qualifications Experience working in university setting and/or with college students Experience with crisis response Experience with/knowledge of serious mental illness Special Instructions to Applicants Additional Information LPC-S on site; clinical supervision is currently available.
