Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as an Addiction Counselor and become a vital part of transforming lives through compassionate, evidence-based care. In this role, you will provide comprehensive clinical counseling to individuals struggling with substance use and behavioral health issues. Your expertise will guide patients through recovery, support their mental health needs, and facilitate positive behavioral change. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management will make a meaningful difference in our clients' journeys toward wellness. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems to determine appropriate treatment plans. Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing behavioral therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and applied behavior analysis to promote recovery. Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies that incorporate addiction medicine principles, mental health counseling, and case management techniques. Facilitate crisis intervention and crisis management efforts to ensure patient safety during acute episodes or behavioral health emergencies. Maintain accurate medical documentation, patient records, and notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing CPT coding for billing purposes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical staff, and community care providers—to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Engage in ongoing research and data collection to monitor treatment outcomes, improve clinical practices, and support quality assurance initiatives. Requirements Licensed LAC or ACLC Experience in addiction counseling, mental health treatment, or behavioral health settings; hospital experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and crisis intervention techniques.
Pay:
$20.00 - $40.65 per hour
