Licensed Counselor Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center • Multiple Openings • Charlotte, NC Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center is seeking five (5) Licensed Counselors across multiple programs and settings. These positions provide individual, group, and family counseling services to clients with substance use and/or co-occurring mental health disorders — delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in alignment with Anuvia's mission and values.

Positions 4 and 5 are two separate openings within the Intensive Outpatient Program sharing the same shift (12:30 PM-9:00 PM). ABOUT EACH POSITION 1
— Residential (Clinical Inpatient) Provides counseling services within Anuvia's residential inpatient program. Clinicians carry a caseload of residential clients from admission through discharge, facilitating individual and group sessions, conducting ASAM assessments, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary medical team. Position includes participation in on-call rotation. 2 — Outpatient Adolescent Specializes in providing outpatient counseling services to adolescent clients and their families. Clinician will facilitate individual, group, and family sessions with a trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate approach. Strong family engagement and collaboration with school and community systems is a key component of this role. 3 — Outpatient Floater Supports outpatient clinical operations across Anuvia's Charlotte-area locations on a flexible Monday-Friday schedule. This position fills coverage gaps, carries a rotating caseload, and adapts to varying program needs. Ideal for a clinician who thrives in dynamic environments and is comfortable with location variability within the Charlotte area. 4 & 5 — Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Two Openings These two positions serve clients enrolled in Anuvia's Intensive Outpatient Program, working an evening-focused schedule of 12:30 PM-9:00 PM, Monday-Friday. IOP clinicians provide structured group therapy, individual sessions, and case management — supporting clients in early recovery with skill-building, relapse prevention, and linkage to community resources. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
All positions share the following core clinical responsibilities: Provide individual, group, and family counseling for clients with substance use and/or co-occurring mental health disorders Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments including psychosocial and ASAM multidimensional assessments; develop ASAM Level of Care recommendations Develop, implement, and update individualized, person-centered treatment plans Monitor client progress and revise treatment plans as clinically indicated Manage all aspects of a caseload from admission through discharge, including aftercare planning Facilitate psychoeducation, relapse prevention, and recovery skills groups Provide crisis intervention and clinical consultation, including after-hours phone consultation as applicable Coordinate care with MAT, psychiatric, psychological, medical, and community-based services Submit service authorizations and maintain continuity of care across providers Complete accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) per state, federal, and agency standards Complete required reporting including NC TOPPS, GPRA, and incident reports Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case staffing, and clinical supervision Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and timely resolution of compliance items Administer medications and conduct UDS screenings within scope of training and licensure Adhere to all professional, ethical, and governing board standards QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensure Master's degree in human services or a field approved by NCASPPB, NC
Social Work Board, NCLCMHCB, or NC Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board Active licensure required: LCAS, LCAS-A, LCSW, LCSW-A, LCMHC, LCMHC-A, LMFT, or LMFT-A Valid NC or SC Driver's License required Skills & Competencies Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills Experience working with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions preferred Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and MS Office applications Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to respond effectively to clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, multi-program environments Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, person-centered care ANUVIA CORE VALUES A
