Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Provisionally Licensed Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide essential therapeutic services under supervision, supporting clients across diverse populations in person in residential level 2 & 3 settings. Duties Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Follow intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to motivate clients toward positive behavioral change and recovery goals. Document clinical notes, medical records, and treatment progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, patient care planning, and coordination of services for individuals with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. Requirements Current provisional licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) or equivalent in the relevant jurisdiction. Demonstrated experience or training in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, and behavior management. Knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation purposes. Familiarity with working with children, adolescents, individuals with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or co-occurring disorders. Experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, and emergency response procedures. Strong skills in social work principles, patient assessment, case management, and clinical research methodologies. Ability to work effectively in outpatient settings or inpatient environments with diverse populations including pediatrics and special education needs. Excellent communication skills with proficiency in medical terminology and clinical ethical guidelines; experience with HIPAA compliance is essential. Prior telehealth experience is preferred; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes is advantageous.
