Job Description

Collaborative / Integrated Care Positions for Licensed Mental Health Clinicians LifeWorks / Brian S Hissom & Associates, PLLC continues to expand services and provide opportunities for clinicians who want to be a part of innovative patient care services that quickly improves treatment outcomes for patients, improves clinical effectiveness, and elevates professional satisfaction. Using the Collaborative Care Management model, patients have access to your professional behavioral health services in the medical clinics where they receive their primary care. You will be working as a member of an integrated team of medical professionals including primary care providers, nurses, medical office professionals, support staff, and a consulting psychiatrist to provide innovative mental health and medical care for patients across the spectrum of needs making a deeper impact than possible in traditional out-patient mental health clinics. We are seeking talented, passionate clinicians to join us as we radically improve behavioral health access and outcomes using the collaborative care management approach in medical clinics in western North Carolina. We provide opportunities for creative professional growth, collaboration in an interdisciplinary team, and the opportunity for a blended schedule in medical clinics and traditional out-patient counseling settings if desired. With the need for mental health care rapidly increasing, there is unprecedented demand for creative behavioral health professionals like you. By providing mental health care in medical practices and collaborating with the providers who the patients already trust, your outcomes with patients will be achieved sooner than in traditional out-patient settings, allowing you to help more people and achieve high levels of personal satisfaction. Our Behavioral Health Professionals are responsible for evaluating, treating, and coordinating the care of patients who are experiencing behavioral health and emotional challenges commonly seen in primary care clinics. Common presentations include depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, and substance and / or medication misuse. We also focus on improving behavioral management of diabetes, hypertension, obesity, nicotine dependence and other chronic health problems through our collaborative teams. As a Behavioral Health Professional with LifeWorks/ Brian S Hissom & Associates, PLLC you will be the core member of a Collaborative Care team that includes the patient's primary care provider (PCP), a consulting psychiatrist, and other healthcare providers seeing patients inperson and virtually from the primary care practice.
