$23.07- $24.03/hr. Salary will depend on level of education and experience.
Summary:
Provides counseling services to clients in the Day Treatment program. The focus will be on achieving developmentally appropriate functional gains and to reintegrate the individual back into school. Model and foster the moral development of clients. Plan and implement therapeutic elements of the Day Treatment program including interventions and activities to support symptom stability, increase youth ability to cope, teach youth how to relate to others, provide support, sustain recovery and enhance the youth's capacity to function in an inclusive setting or be maintained in community based services. Work with school personnel, program staff and other professionals in facilitating implementation of client treatment plans. Maintain the confidentiality of client and program information. Assist the Program Manager as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Provides individual, group and family therapy and subsequent paperwork. Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, case support activities Provides crisis intervention consultation to all members of the team Participates in peer review process for therapists All other duties as assigned by supervisor
Special Attributes:
Strong psychosocial, clinical assessment skills. Minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively with professions and clients/families. Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations. Education and/or
Experience:
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or other Human Services field and two years
MH/SA/DD
experience with the population served; Qualified Professional (QP) designation required. Must have at least one year experience working directly with children/adolescents.
