Job Description

Catholic Charities North Dakota is looking for a Clinical Therapist to join our growing team! This position is located in our Fargo ND office but could be located statewide to assist in reaching the rural areas of the state.
Job Function:
Provide counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups while representing Catholic Charities North Dakota's mission and values.
Job Responsibility:
1. Provide direct therapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups of all ages. 2. Maintain accurate and complete case records as required by agency policy. Protect client confidentiality following HIPPA guidelines, following protocols to obtain signed releases of information, obtain information and collaborate with other providers and treatment team. 3. Promote counseling program to outside agencies and professionals, priests and the general public. 4. Participate in the peer review process for other therapists on the team. 5. Respond appropriately to the cultural differences present within the Agency's service population and staff. 6. Relate well and partner with clients and families, community agencies, organizations, associations and other dioceses. 7. Demonstrate values compatible with those of the Agency. 8. Demonstrate knowledge of the needs of abused and neglected children and adults and skill in meeting their needs. 9. Demonstrate knowledge and skill in child development, individual and family functioning. 10. Able to work with and engage individuals and families seeking clients' motivation to change. 11. Maintain professional licensure by following requirements needed by the professional licensure board of specialty and complying with COA standards as as accepted by Catholic Charities North Dakota. 12. Participate in team meetings and supervisory case consultations as requested. 13. Submit weekly billing summaries, time sheets, and expense reports to supervisor in a timely manner. 14. Perform other tasks as designated by the Counseling Director. 15. Provide presentations on a variety of topics (by request).
Mandatory Qualifications/Certification:
¨ Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling ¨ Licensed by State of North Dakota ¨ Must be licensed to practice under supervision and be third party reimbursable (current staff grandfathered to this requirement). ¨ Strong written and oral communication skills, listening skills, and a demonstrated ability to foster supportive environment for clients. ¨ Strong interpersonal skills and clear professional boundaries. ¨ Ability to work as a part of a team ¨ 1-2 years counseling experience is preferred ¨ Position requires some evening and weekend work as well as occasional travel and overnight stays.
