Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their wellness goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through direct support, clinical research, and innovative therapeutic approaches. Duties Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs. Deliver evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual client needs. Provide specialized counseling for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, including child & family counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and gender issues counseling. Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes. Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on behavioral management, social work principles, and patient care improvement. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology for record keeping. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans for clients with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver clinical counseling services remotely while adhering to CPT coding standards for billing purposes. Experience Proven experience in clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings with a focus on behavioral health or mental health services. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Strong background working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and geriatrics. Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using
