Job Description
Position Information Job Title Adjunct Faculty - Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Practicum & Internship) Position Purpose The adjunct faculty will provide remote asynchronous and synchronous clinical supervision, academic instruction, and professional development support to master's-level counseling trainees in Practicum and Internship courses. This position requires expertise in clinical practice, counseling theories, and supervision models, ensuring that students gain practical experience while adhering to professional and ethical standards. The successful candidate will provide education through learning-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving clinical mental health needs of diverse populations. The adjunct faculty will work closely with the Clinical Mental Health Counseling ( CMHC ) Clinical Coordinator and Program Director to ensure that the students have met all clinical training requirements. Essential Duties Summary Create a safe and supportive learning environment for students; Manage the learning environment by keeping accurate records, submitting grades and other reports on time, and enforcing academic and attendance policies consistent with those of NEC and the CMHC department; Communicate with clinical training sites and site supervisors regarding students' performance; Review and evaluate student case presentations, progress notes, treatment plans, and process recordings. Report to Clinical Coordinator and Program Director. Required Qualifications An unencumbered, independently Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, or equivalent; Minimum of 5 years, post-licensure clinical experience; Minimum of 12 CEUs or 1 graduate-level course in clinical supervision required, ACS credential strongly preferred; Experience with online synchronous and asynchronous teaching; Identified pedagogical style and record of strong teaching evaluations.
