The Role:
The Mobile Crisis Peer Support Specialist will work as part of the Emergency Services team. You will draw from your own experiences to engage individuals in crisis, assist individuals with engaging in services and supports, and help develop individualized recovery plans. You will be playing a critical advocacy role and maybe required to provide transportation as well as promote self-care, illness-self management, wellness and recovery.: What we're looking for: Lived experience of mental illness recovery, or certification as a Recovery Support Worker (CRSW) Experience working in a community mental health center, or as a peer specialist, and/or within a substance misuse treatment center is highly recommended Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to utilize technology provided to perform requirements of the job Hold a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle liability coverage.: Tell me about the benefits!: While working for an incredible non-profit organization with a great mission and fabulous culture, you'll be contributing to innovative community and social change.
