Our multidisciplinary team-featuring clinicians, nurses, physicians, and support professionals-works together to diagnose, treat, and support those living with mental illness.
WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CRISIS SCREENING CENTER-CERTIFIED SCREENER
In this vital role, you will be a first point of contact for individuals experiencing emotional or psychiatric crises.
Your responsibilities will include:
Responding to calls on our crisis hotline and guiding callers through referrals Providing therapeutic interventions and determining when in-person evaluations are needed Conducting comprehensive screenings and assessments Stabilizing clients in acute distress Documenting all interactions thoroughly, whether by phone or face-to-face Participating in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development as directed by the Program Director Your work will help individuals navigate some of their most difficult moments with dignity, clarity, and support.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
To excel in this position, candidates should bring strong clinical judgment, emotional resilience, and a commitment to serving those in crisis. You must meet one of the following educational and experience requirements: Master's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution and at least one year of psychiatric experience OR Bachelor's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution and three years of mental health experience, including one year in crisis or acute care Additional requirements include: Completion of the NJDMHS Crisis Training Certification , or eligibility to sit for the exam A valid driver's license with a clean five-year driving record that meets agency and insurance standards Availability to work overnight shifts , as crisis support is needed around the clock Your dedication and expertise will be essential in helping clients regain stability and access the care they need.
