BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

Community Psychiatric Institute has been a dedicated and committed leader in Behavioral Healthcare and Substance Abuse treatment in Essex County for over 52 years. We currently have an opening for a Counselor to join our multidisciplinary team in our Partial Care Program.

Responsibilities include:

 Provide supportive group and individual counseling in our outpatient setting.  Perform timely records documentation utilizing an EHR including progress notes and treatment plans.  Work as a part of our multidisciplinary team to provide person centered mental health services.  Work collaboratively with program participants, their families, and community partners to assist in achieving client's treatment goals.

Requirements:

 Must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field of study.  Excellent written and verbal skills The ideal candidate for the position will have previous experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders and enjoys working in a supportive team environment. Job Type:

Full-time Pay range: $38,000 to $52,000 annually based on experience 40 hour work week.
