Full Job Description Position Summary :
The Counselor at
WE LEVEL UP
will provide professional guidance and support to individuals seeking personal development and mental health improvement. The role involves assessing clients' needs, developing personalized plans, and facilitating therapeutic sessions to promote emotional well-being and personal growth.
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments to understand clients' mental health status and personal development goals. Develop customized counseling plans tailored to each client's unique needs and objectives. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques. Monitor clients' progress and adjust counseling strategies as necessary to ensure effective outcomes. Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to provide comprehensive care. Stay updated with the latest counseling practices and mental health research to enhance service delivery. Provide crisis intervention and support in emergency situations. Educate clients and their families about mental health issues and coping strategies. Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve counseling skills.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Master's degree in Counseling or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant licensure or certification as a Counselor is required.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a counseling or therapeutic setting. Experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural sensitivities. Proven track record in conducting individual and group counseling sessions. Experience in developing personalized treatment plans for clients.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards. Proficiency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques. Skilled in assessing client needs and providing appropriate support and guidance. Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Familiarity with electronic health records and counseling software is a plus.
