Intensive Outpatient Counselor / Teacher (LSAA, LADAC or LMSW)

Grand Summit Recovery is looking for a dedicated and skilled Intensive Outpatient Counselor/Teacher to join our recovery team. The ideal candidate will hold a current LSAA, LADAC or LMSW or equivalent license in New Mexico. This role combines counseling and teaching to support clients in structured group and individual sessions focused on long-term recovery and life skill development.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate group and individual sessions for clients enrolled in intensive outpatient programming. Deliver curriculum with fidelity and consistency. Guide clients through evidence-based recovery and relapse prevention strategies. Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans and progress notes in compliance with agency and state standards. Work collaboratively with peer support staff, case managers, and clinical leadership to ensure continuity of care. Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Current LSAA, LADAC, LMSW or equivalent license in the State of New Mexico (required). Experience working with individuals affected by substance use and co-occurring disorders. Strong communication, teaching, and facilitation skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and person-centered practices.
