Eligible employees may receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid according to the following schedule $2,500 after 90 days $2,500 after 6 months $5,000 after 12 months Employees must be actively employed and in good standing on each payment date. Additional terms and conditions apply.
Position Summary:
Piñon Rose Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our expanding team in Farmington, NM. This full-time, in-person role provides outpatient mental health counseling services to adults teens and children. The therapist will be responsible for conducting individual counseling sessions, completing assessments and treatment planning, maintaining clinical documentation, and supporting clients through evidence-based therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to helping clients achieve meaningful and lasting change. Key Responsibilities Provide individual counseling services, including intake assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing progress evaluations. May provide marriage, family, and couples counseling services as appropriate to client needs and based on therapists comfort level. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with Medicaid, state, licensing board, and agency standards. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Collaborate with other providers, referral sources, and community partners to support coordinated client care. Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, and staff meetings as required. Uphold all ethical, legal, and professional standards established by licensing boards and agency policies. Maintain a client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach to care. Required Qualifications Must hold one of the following New Mexico-eligible licenses or certifications: LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, LMSW, LMHC, or equivalent. Provisional, associate, and supervised licensure types accepted where legally permitted to provide services. Experience or strong interest in working with adults, couples, and families across a variety of mental health concerns. Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience providing outpatient mental health counseling services. Familiarity with New Mexico Medicaid requirements, documentation standards, and insurance billing practices. Experience utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, or other recognized therapeutic approaches. Experience with trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based care. Experience working with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions is a plus.
