Licensed Mental Health Professional Thrive Medical Services LLC Las Cruces, NM Job Details Full-time 7 hours ago Qualifications Client assessment in therapy Care documentation Master's degree Clinical assessment documentation Full Job Description Position Summary The Licensed Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing mental health assessments, therapeutic interventions, crisis response, and treatment planning for individuals in custody. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively within a secure, multidisciplinary environment. Primary Responsibilities Conduct mental health evaluations, suicide risk assessments, and clinical screenings. Provide individual counseling, brief therapeutic interventions, and group services as indicated. Respond to behavioral health crises and assist with stabilization, safety planning, and follow-up care. Monitor patients requiring special observation, including suicide watch and other high-risk mental health statuses. Develop and maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic health record. Collaborate with medical, nursing, behavioral health, and correctional staff to support coordinated patient care. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field. Current, unrestricted New Mexico licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMHC. Experience in correctional healthcare, community mental health, crisis services, or other high-acuity clinical settings preferred. Strong assessment, intervention, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to maintain professionalism, sound judgment, and ethical standards in a structured correctional environment. Work Schedule This is typically a full-time position with primarily weekday hours, based on facility and program needs. Some schedule flexibility may be required to support urgent evaluations or operational demands.
