  • $35 an hour
  • Part-time, Full-time Bilingual NYS Licensed or Limited Permit Clinician (FT or PT) VCS provides accessible and affordable mental health services to residents of Rockland County.
The clinician will function as a part of an OMH Article 31 clinic team working to implement evidence based mental health therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups, in person or remotely. The population includes both children aged 10 and older and adults.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's level Degree in counseling and or social work.
  • Must possess at least one of the following
NYS Professional Licenses Through NYS Department of Education:
LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, LMFT or MSW, CSW or MHC or MFT with current limited permit. We are willing to supervise qualified limited permit holders seeking licensure hours.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Licensed to practice or possess a limited permit in New York State
  • Willing to undergo NYS mandatory Background Checks Ability to treat people with respect and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences
  • Bilingual Speaking mandatory (Spanish or Creole preferable) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook Mail, Outlook Calendar, Gmail, Google Workspace, and Google Docs
RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments with review of referral and intake information, identifying, and engaging key participants including strengths and weaknesses for individualized treatment planning.
  • Utilize evidence base treatment approaches that respond to serious mental illness trauma, substance use and other needs.
  • Maintains clear and concise, and timely documentation of contacts and treatment progress in the EMR.
  • Participates in all staff and treatment meeting and engage in crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Attain and maintain productivity expectations.
  • Ability to engage diverse client populations and collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications and or required licenses
  • The ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Able to flex work schedule to include two evenings per week.
  • Other duties as required.
