Job Description
The Children and Youth Division of Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is seeking a Clinician to join our Otsego County Youth ACT Team. The program will serve youth ages 10-20 years 11 months. The program will provide intensive clinical treatment for youth who had traditionally faced challenges with the current mental health treatment model. Program staff are a team who utilize youth guided, family driven approaches to develop the best strategies and interventions for mental health recovery and wellness. As a Clinician, you will be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing therapeutic services (individual, family, and or groups) to youth clients.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans that address unique clinical, functional, and psychosocial needs of youth - in collaboration with youth, families, and other members of the Youth ACT Team.
- Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, safety planning, and stabilization (including on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule as needed).
- Coordinate and collaborate with team members (psychiatry, peer advocates, case managers, program support staff), as well as with external systems such as schools, hospitals, child welfare, and community supports.
- Participate in regular team meetings, treatment planning, progress reviews, discharge/transitional planning, and coordination of wraparound services to support long-term community stability.
- Provide family-based interventions and support (psychoeducation, family therapy, parent/caregiver support), recognizing the central role of the family and other natural supports in youth recovery.
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely clinical documentation and records consistent with OMH regulations and agency policies.
Position:
Credentialed New York State Licensed Mental Health providers are required (LMSW, LCSW, and LMHC) 2 years of experience working with youth and families; preferred Bi-lingual Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply. Candidate must have the ability to work with a diverse population. Must have strong communication skills. Knowledge of trauma informed care service delivery will be a plus. Excellent salary ranging $73,000 - $76,000 (commensurate with education and experience)Other Requirements:
Valid NYS driver's license and successful clearance by Justice Center and New York State Office of Children and Families Statewide Central Register Database clearance.Benefits:
