Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Clinician to join our team as an In-Person Therapist , providing high-quality mental health services at our office. The successful candidate will deliver therapy, counseling, and emotional support to individuals, families, and groups, addressing a range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, and grief. This role requires in-person sessions to foster strong therapeutic relationships and ensure comprehensive client care.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Assessment & Intake:
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to understand clients' emotional, psychological, social, and environmental circumstances. Develop tailored treatment plans based on the individual needs of each client. Use a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to identify key issues impacting the client's mental health.
In-Person Therapy & Counseling:
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing) to individuals, families, and groups. Offer crisis intervention and coping strategies to help clients manage acute stress or mental health crises. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, ensuring the effectiveness of interventions.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain thorough and accurate records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes. Adhere to all legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements, including maintaining client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Participate in clinical supervision and continuing education to remain current with best practices in social work and mental health care.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
Work collaboratively with a team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other therapists. Provide referrals to appropriate community resources when necessary. Engage in team meetings, case discussions, and peer consultations to enhance client care.
Qualifications:
Licensed Clinician in good standing with the state of New York . Experience providing in-person therapy in a clinical setting. Strong understanding of the social determinants of health and the challenges faced by marginalized communities. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Ability to engage and build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. High degree of empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity. Time management and organizational skills to handle a caseload efficiently.
