(FSW) provides mental health and social services that strengthen and support families, children and individuals at every stage of their lives. Serving 30,000 people a year, including 20,000 children, with nearly 50 innovative programs, including counseling, education and support, FSW is a pillar of health in the Westchester community, here to create hope, restore dignity and connect families with the resources to get back on track. The Family Strengthening Program is a short-term crisis-based home and community-based program, providing parents with the tools and skills needed to address their children's behavioral and emotional concerns.
JOB SUMMARY
Family Services of Westchester is seeking a Full-Time Clinician to join our Family Strengthening Program located in White Plains, NY. In this role, you will provide crisis-based care utilizing the Trauma Systems Models (TST) to service families and children ages 3-12, providing parents with the tools and skills needed to address their children's behavioral and emotional concerns. This program also requires a vehicle and provides mileage reimbursement to clinicians. The clinicians service families in Westchester county.
RESPONSIBILITES
Engage in weekly home and community and school-based visits with children (ages 3-12) and their families with emotional/behavioral concerns for a three-month period (short-term services) Provide short-term, crisis-based therapy to children and families Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, and clear documentation in an electronic medical record system Work clinically with families within the Trauma Systems Therapy framework Engage in trauma screenings with families Safety planning/crisis intervention services Refer children and families to appropriate mental health and community resources Collaborate with school and clinical staff members Refer and collaborate with mental health and community-based organizations Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner Collaborate with the Department of Community Mental Health and the Department of Social Services
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling (MSW, MHC)
LMSW, LMHC
(Preferred)
LCSW LICENSE
Valid Drivers License SKILLS Excellent Interpersonal and Collaborative Skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) - (Preferred) Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills Knowledge of early and middle childhood development Ability to work within a short-term, crisis-based model Team Focused Collaborator Understand Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity
