Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC II or Higher) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive addiction and mental health counseling services to individuals and families, fostering recovery and resilience. Your expertise will help clients navigate their journey toward sobriety, mental wellness, and improved quality of life through evidence-based practices, compassionate care, and collaborative treatment planning. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using DSM to determine appropriate treatment plans Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and applied behavior analysis Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate addiction counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and behavioral health strategies Facilitate psychoeducational groups focused on addiction recovery, mental health management, PTSD care, and social skills development Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations; update medical records regularly with patient progress notes and treatment outcomes Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, including hospital staff, community agencies, and home-based services for comprehensive patient support Engage in data collection activities for research purposes and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery Experience Valid licensure as an LCDC II or higher with relevant clinical experience in addiction counseling or behavioral health settings Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), crisis management, social work principles, and group therapy facilitation Experience working with diverse populations including children & families, individuals with PTSD or trauma histories, and patients requiring hospital or community-based care Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation standards, DSM, and HIPAA compliance Prior experience in intake assessments, patient care planning, case management activities, and behavioral management strategies Knowledge of addiction medicine principles alongside skills in motivational interviewing and diagnostic evaluation for substance use disorders Join our team to empower individuals on their path to recovery!
