Job Description
We are looking for a skilled counselor who is experienced or interested in working with substance use and mental health disorders within an outpatient treatment setting. Job responsibilities include a wide range of clinical responsibilities (based on substance abuse treatment) including assessment services, individual counseling, and group counseling. The environment is fast-paced, requires a passion for people's recovery, and the population served is highly diverse.
Position Expectations :
Provide clinical assessments to a diverse population of adolescents and adults. Provide assessment summary and recommendations to clients related to behavioral health needs. Identify the appropriate Level of Care based on the client's presenting concerns and then make recommendations to the client and the referral source based on treatment needs. Facilitate individual and group counseling services. Maintain confidentiality, appropriate boundaries, and respect for all individuals/families served. Embrace and exhibit the agency values of Consumer-focused, Mutual Respect, Individual and Agency Integrity, Quality-Excellence, Compassion, Diversity, and Hope. Meet deadlines for documentation as specified by agency policy and/or state/federal regulations (whichever is more stringent). Maintain knowledge of treatment and/or social services available in the region. Maintain all records in accordance with the project, agency specifications, andHIPAA/42 CFR
standard. Participate in case presentations. Participate in regular staff, team, and/or clinical meetings. Improve competencies through training/education. Provide training/education to and with the agency staff both internally and externally. Meet or exceed productivity requirements on a quarterly basis. Participate in Quality Improvement and Evaluation initiatives as requested.Position Qualifications :

Since 1949, the focus of the Addiction Services Council has been to reduce problems related to alcoholism and other drug addictions through the delivery of treatment and prevention services. The Council has a wide range of programs that serve children, adolescents, families, women, older adults, and persons with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. For over 70 years, the Council's information and referral services have provided a central point of access to the existing system of care and offered individualized counseling for individuals and families.Job Type:
