Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
CDCA SUD
(Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor for Substance Use Disorder) to join our Brand NEW organization! In this role, you will provide comprehensive addiction counseling and mental health support to individuals struggling with substance use challenges. Your expertise will help clients develop effective coping strategies, achieve recovery goals, and improve overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those seeking recovery, utilizing evidence-based practices and a client-centered approach. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews, to determine individual treatment needs. Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical best practices and regulatory standards, including HIPAA compliance for medical documentation and records management. Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support to clients experiencing acute mental health or substance use crises. Facilitate family counseling sessions focused on child & family dynamics, enhancing support systems for recovery. Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including case management, hospital staff, community providers, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate medical records, document patient progress, and ensure compliance with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) standards for diagnoses related to mental health and substance use disorders. Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to evaluate treatment outcomes and improve service delivery. Experience Proven experience in behavioral health or addiction counseling, preferably within hospital or community care settings. Strong background in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with crisis intervention protocols, PTSD care, and trauma-informed approaches. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality. Experience working with diverse populations in home & community care environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate case management. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
