Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate CDCA (Certified Developmental Counselor Assistant) or Counselor to join our dynamic SUD Treatment Center. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Adults and their families by providing IOP Group Therapy,Assessments and Case Management with Substance Use Disorder support services. The ideal candidate will be energetic, motivated, and committed to fostering positive change through evidence-based practices. All positions are paid, ensuring valuable professional experience while contributing to vital patient care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake interviews and diagnostic evaluations, to determine individual treatment needs. Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. Implement crisis intervention strategies promptly and effectively to ensure patient safety during emergencies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate behavioral health, addiction counseling, and case management principles. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in ongoing research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance treatment outcomes and clinical practices. Requirements Valid certification as a CDCA IIor equivalent counselor credential; additional licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or similar is preferred. Experience in psychotherapy, adult & family counseling, crisis management, and behavioral health interventions. Strong skills in motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care—including PTSD care—and addiction counseling techniques. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop appropriate treatment strategies aligned with clinical best practices. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and medical documentation . Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to patient care and team collaboration.
