Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to provide comprehensive behavioral health services in a correctional healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will independently assess, evaluate, and treat individuals with behavioral health needs while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive treatment outcomes. This position requires strong clinical judgment, crisis intervention skills, and experience working with complex mental health and substance use disorders. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and evaluations. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and crisis intervention services. Coordinate patient admissions, assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning. Manage complex behavioral health cases and provide clinical interventions. Evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and multidisciplinary treatment teams. Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with community agencies and healthcare providers. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Participate in treatment team meetings, policy reviews, staff training, and quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to other behavioral health staff when appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess one of the following active Ohio licenses: Licensed Independent Social Worker ( LISW ) Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor ( LPCC ) Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor ( LICDC ) Licensed Independent Marriage & Family Therapist ( IMFT ) Ohio Registered Nurse with Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) certification specializing in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing Preferred Qualifications Experience providing behavioral health or psychiatric services. Crisis intervention and de-escalation experience. Experience developing and implementing treatment plans. Strong documentation and case management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Previous correctional, community mental health, hospital, or substance abuse treatment experience is preferred. Working Conditions May require flexible work schedules. May work with individuals experiencing acute mental health or substance use disorders. May encounter potentially volatile situations requiring professional crisis intervention. Occasional travel may be required depending on the assignment. Why Join Us?
