Position Summary The Child and Family Support Coordinator is an integral leadership position within the Family Peace Center (FPC), ensuring that children, youth, and families experiencing violence and abuse can safely access supportive services, resources, and spaces that promote healing, stability, and hope. This position provides oversight and coordination of child and family programming, including drop in childcare services, the survivor pantry and boutique, family centered communal spaces, and related supportive programming. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring services are trauma informed, welcoming, organized, and aligned with the Family Peace Center's survivor centered mission and operational standards. The Coordinator provides day to day supervision and support to the Child and Family Program Specialist and helps ensure consistency, quality, and compassionate service delivery across all family centered programming Program Leadership & Supervision
- Provide day to day supervision, guidance, and support to the Child and Family Program Specialist and volunteers supporting family centered services
- Support onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing performance feedback
- Ensure consistency, quality, and trauma informed service delivery across child and family programming
- Assist in developing workflows, procedures, and operational practices aligned with organizational standards
- Support a collaborative and welcoming team environment centered on dignity, safety, and respect Child & Family Program Oversight
- Oversee the delivery of compassionate, trauma informed support services for children, youth, and families accessing the Family Peace Center
- Ensure child and family spaces remain safe, welcoming, trauma informed, and developmentally appropriate
- Support youth and caregivers during visits by providing emotional support, grounding strategies, and resource navigation as appropriate
- Recognize signs of trauma and respond in accordance with trauma informed care principles and organizational policies
- Develop and maintain operational procedures for childcare and other child and family related services
- Plan and coordinate family centered events, activities, and supportive programming throughout the year
- Maintain appropriate program statistics, records, and reporting requirements
- Participate in meetings with internal and external partners to support coordinated services for families Survivor Center & Shared Space Oversight
- Oversee the functionality, organization, and safety of communal family centered spaces including childcare areas, kitchen, living room, pantry, boutique, and related support spaces
- Help ensure spaces remain clean, organized, welcoming, and accessible
- Support an environment that promotes dignity, emotional safety, healing, and community connection Pantry & Boutique Oversight
- Oversee daily operations of the Family Peace Center pantry and boutique
- Ensure services are delivered in a dignified, survivor centered manner
- Coordinate donation intake, inventory management, sorting, and distribution processes
- Monitor supply levels and communicate operational needs to leadership
- Support seasonal drives, community donations, and resource distribution efforts Administrative & Team Support
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, collaborative planning, and professional development
- Support consistency and quality of services across the Family Peace Center
- Follow all child protection, confidentiality, safety, and trauma informed care policies
- Assist with community outreach events, donation drives, and special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned may include general center support and operational assistance --- Qualifications
- Education or experience in social work, human services, psychology, education, nonprofit management, or a related field. Combination of education and experience considered.
- Experience working with children, youth, and families impacted by trauma, domestic violence, sexual violence, child abuse, or adversity
- Experience supporting or coordinating volunteers, programs, or family centered services preferred
- Demonstrated ability to support day to day program operations and team coordination
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple service areas
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, survivor centered practices, and trauma informed care
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
