Job description Altoris is hiring full-time and part-time • Behavior Consultants who reside in Oregon. • Full-time and part-time positions are immediately available in the tri-county area (Multnomah Clackamas & Washington Counties), plus Clatsop County, as well as the Hermiston/Pendleton area. Fully qualified full-time applicants normally start at a base salary of $52,600. In addition, full-time consultants are eligible for quarterly incentives. Total annual cash compensation of $55,000 to $60,000 is a reasonable expectation. Part-time compensation may range from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
Job information:
The Behavior Consultant is responsible for providing Behavior Support Services that are founded upon the principles of person-centered care, positive behavior supports and self-determination. The objective of the Behavior Consultant is to effectively develop supports in the person's environment and improve interactions with caregivers and other team members. The basic tool for accomplishing these supports will be a Behavior Support Plan, structured to address: a) challenging behaviors, b) cognitive processing, c) communication skills, d) self-help activities, e) impulse control, and/or f) adaptive skills. Specific services provided by the Behavior Consultant will include an assessment, development of the behavior plan, coaching of the client's caregivers on the behavior plan, and subsequent monitoring and reassessment to assure that the plan is and remains effective.
Qualifications:
Effective at understanding and assessing behaviors At least two years of experience in delivery of services in providing services to seniors, persons with physical disabilities, persons with mental health illness or persons with developmental disabilities. Two years of experience in the development, implementation, and or monitoring of person-centered care plans Bachelor's Degree or higher level of education in psychology, sociology, or other human services field is required Must be able to meet State timelines and deadlines. Must pass criminal background screening Must have skills to use person centered/thinking/communication with clients, family members, and caregivers Must have the ability to incorporate positive, proactive behavioral strategies in daily living Training and ability to develop behavior guidelines for specific clients. Must be able to demonstrate to caregivers and community providers 1:1 coaching how to implement the guidelines. Must be able to work independently without direct supervision Demonstrate professionalism, team work, responsiveness with prospective clients and other who may communicate with the agency Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Assess and identify persons desires and preferences Complete at least 12 hours of continuing education units per year Must have reliable transportation Many more requirements that can be discussed at time of interview We look forward to reviewing resumes.
