JOB SUMMARY
Join our team at New Horizons Recovery Center. We are an Outpatient facility assisting in Addictions, Mental Health and Co-occurring areas at a facility dedicated to providing exceptional care to adult and adolescent individuals in need. We are currently seeking a dedicated Group Facilitator to facilitate therapeutic groups and support services for individuals dealing with mental health concerns. As a Group Facilitator, you will oversee the daytime MH adult group program.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the adult Mental Health groups held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 9am
  • 1pm and group documentation. Part time hours will start at 12 hours per week.
  • Prepare materials and facilitate group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to clients during group sessions, encouraging active participation and emotional expression.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care for each client, including case management and coordination of services.
  • Utilize psychotherapy techniques to help clients address underlying issues contributing to their mental health challenges.
  • Work with diverse populations, including geriatric clients and individuals with special education needs.
  • Complete all required documentation in the electronic medical records within all regulation guidelines.
  • Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree from an accredited agency in Clinical Counseling or related field. Also required to have completed a clinical practicum as part of their school requisites.
  • Licensed preferred, but not required with a mental health discipline
  • Experience working with and in facilitating group and individual therapy sessions in Mental Health field
  • Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation tools and assessment procedures.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic interventions.
  • Previous experience in an outpatient or inpatient residential facility focusing on primary Mental Health Disorders.
