Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Providing in-person individual and group counseling.
- Providing risk assessment and emergency intervention services.
- Providing consultation services to students, faculty, and staff.
- Providing clinical supervision of graduate practicum students.
- Providing referral services to external resources when a higher level of care is needed.
- Developing and implementing culturally
- and trauma-informed outreach programs on a variety of topics.
- Collaborating with various campus partners and participating in campus service opportunities. The Counseling Center is open Monday-Friday with hours varying between 8:30 am
- 7:00 pm. Some evening availability until 7:00 pm is required. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth and professional development; and service. Minimum Qualifications
- A master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Unencumbered PA licensure (LPC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist).
- At least three (3) years of professional experience providing counseling to young adult populations.
- Demonstrated cultural competency through work experience with individuals and communities of color; LGBTQ+ individuals; working with people of various abilities, faiths/non-faith, ethnic backgrounds, and other diverse populations.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, belonging, and inclusion. Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a clinical setting working as a licensed counselor.
- Previous experience providing counseling services to college students in a university counseling center is strongly preferred.
- Experience with crisis intervention and management.
- LCADC/CAADC and experience completing drug and alcohol assessments.
