Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Certified Recovery Specialist, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from behavioral health and addiction challenges. In this dynamic position, you will serve as a compassionate mentor and advocate, providing guidance, crisis intervention, and motivational support to help clients achieve lasting wellness. Your expertise will empower individuals to navigate their recovery process with confidence and resilience, fostering hope and positive change every day. Duties Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to clients experiencing behavioral health or addiction crises, ensuring immediate safety and stabilization. Offer mental health counseling and motivational interviewing to motivate clients toward recovery goals and behavioral change. Serve as a mentor by building trusting relationships, offering support, and guiding clients through recovery pathways. Assist clients in developing coping strategies, relapse prevention plans, and life skills to promote sustained recovery. Document client interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, counselors, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans. Educate clients about addiction, mental health issues, and available community resources to foster independence and self-management. Qualifications Certification as a Recovery Specialist or in a related behavioral health field is required. Proven experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, or behavioral health settings. Strong knowledge of addiction counseling, mental health counseling techniques, and social work principles. Excellent mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse populations. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes. Effective communication skills with an empathetic approach to client interactions.
