Full-Time, 40 hours per week Job Summary The Assessment Counselor is responsible for facilitating all assessment services for the program in accordance with facility standards and the clinical philosophy of the program. This role involves conducting screenings and assessments, ensuring appropriate client placement, and coordinating with other clinical team members to support effective care delivery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct screenings and level of care assessments using clinical knowledge and skills while clearly communicating the process with clients. Collect demographic and historical information relevant to the Level of Care Assessment (LOCA). Complete precertification for all managed care clients when applicable. Facilitate the admission process in collaboration with appropriate clinical team members. Complete all assessment, admission, and related documentation in a timely manner, including Releases of Information (ROIs) and other admission paperwork. Collaborate with other team members and departments as needed to support effective client care. Develop initial treatment plans for clients. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications While the following credentials are preferred, we welcome applicants who are eligible and committed to pursuing the necessary certification or licensure (CADC, CAADC, or Master's-level) with organizational support. Candidates must meet one of the following requirements : Hold a Master's degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field with current licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or equivalent). Hold a Master's degree in one of the above fields and be actively working toward licensure or certification (such as a CAADC). Hold a Bachelor's degree and a CADC (or be working toward one), along with at least one year of clinical experience . Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent with a CAAC .
