Associate Therapist (LAMFT, LPC-A, LMSW) Preferred Behavioral Health Agency Montgomery, AL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $32 - $40 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Individual therapy HIPAA Trauma response ICD-10 Working with children Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Therapist (ALAMFT, ALC, LMSW, or equivalent) to join our behavioral health team in Alabama . This role provides an opportunity to deliver outpatient, community-based, and telehealth mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing behavioral, emotional, and psychosocial challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience providing direct clinical services, engaging clients and families, collaborating with community partners, and supporting continuity of care across systems. This position focuses on therapeutic intervention, crisis support, and evidence-based treatment aligned with Alabama behavioral health standards and licensing board requirements . Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic impressions, and treatment planning using DSM-5-TR and ICD-10 coding , in compliance with Alabama behavioral health regulations and payer requirements . Provide individual, family, and group therapy services in outpatient, community-based, and telehealth settings . Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address behavioral health concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, family conflict, substance use, and emotional dysregulation. Implement crisis intervention, safety planning, and stabilization strategies when clinically indicated. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and support systems to strengthen coping skills, improve functioning, and promote long-term stability. Coordinate care with psychiatrists, primary care providers, case managers, schools, social service agencies, and other community partners as appropriate. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with HIPAA, Alabama Medicaid, payer requirements, and agency policies . Utilize telehealth platforms to enhance accessibility and continuity of care for clients across Alabama . Participate in clinical supervision, consultation, and ongoing professional development as required for licensure and clinical growth under Alabama licensing boards. Support community outreach and engagement efforts to increase awareness of agency services and improve access to behavioral health care. Skills & Qualifications Active or provisional Alabama licensure (e.g., ALAMFT, ALC, LMSW ), in good standing with the appropriate Alabama licensing board . Ability to practice under clinical supervision , if required by licensure level. Experience providing behavioral health therapy in outpatient or community-based settings preferred. Strong skills in clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation . Demonstrated competency in crisis intervention, safety planning, and trauma-informed care . Ability to deliver culturally responsive, ethical, and evidence-based services . Experience working with diverse populations , including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Familiarity with telehealth service delivery and electronic health record (EHR) systems . Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills . Ability to manage complex cases involving trauma, grief, developmental concerns, substance use, or high-risk behaviors . Commitment to client-centered care and professional ethical standards under Alabama licensing boards .
Pay:
$32.00 - $40.00 per hour
