The Behavioral Health Assessor will be responsible for conducting Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (CCAs) for children and adolescents to determine behavioral health needs, establish diagnoses, and develop appropriate treatment recommendations. This position requires strong clinical interviewing skills, critical thinking, and the ability to formulate defensible recommendations that support youth and families in accessing the right level of care at the right time. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with high-risk and underserved populations, including youth involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), DSS, schools, and community agencies. This position may include community-based, office-based, and telehealth services. Responsibilities Conduct Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (CCAs) for children and adolescents in accordance with NC Medicaid and agency standards Complete biopsychosocial evaluations, clinical interviews, risk assessments, and diagnostic impressions Assess emotional, behavioral, family, social, educational, and environmental factors impacting youth functioning Administer and interpret clinical screening tools and assessments as appropriate (PHQ-9, GAD-7, C-SSRS, etc.) Develop clinically appropriate recommendations and determine the appropriate level of care Coordinate with families, schools, DJJ, DSS, court counselors, foster care agencies, and community stakeholders as needed Maintain accurate, timely, and defensible documentation within agency timelines Complete assessments and required documentation within agency expectations Participate in staffing meetings, supervision, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid standards, and agency policies Qualifications Required Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related human services field Associate or fully licensed clinicians encouraged to apply:

Experience working with children, adolescents, and families Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills Strong written communication and documentation abilities Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team Preferred Experience completing Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (CCAs) Experience working with justice-involved, at-risk, or high-needs youth populations Knowledge of NC Medicaid services and behavioral health systems Experience collaborating with DJJ, DSS, schools, and community agencies Experience with electronic health records and telehealth platforms Why Join NC Health Partners?
