Job Description
At Heart of Peace Counseling, we believe in the power of meaningful therapeutic relationships, trauma-informed care, and individualized treatment. As a growing private practice, we're expanding our team to meet the increasing demand for quality mental health services. We serve a diverse range of clients with compassion, respect, and evidence-based care—and we're looking for a therapist who shares our passion for healing and growth. Must be licensed in North Carolina. Will consider associate and provisionally licensed professionals with qualifying education and experience. Steady stream of client referrals Supportive, collaborative team culture Competitive compensation (1099 options) Beautifully furnished office space (if in person) Fully HIPAA-compliant telehealth system Billing, credentialing, and administrative support Clinical supervision (if needed for licensure) Opportunities for growth, specialization, and leadership As a therapist in our practice, you'll: Provide individual counseling to clients with a range of mental health concerns (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, relational conflict) Create and maintain clear, timely clinical documentation Collaborate with clients to develop person-centered treatment plans Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards of care Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing learning opportunities Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field Active or associate-level licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LMSW, etc.) in NC Experience providing behavioral health therapy to diverse populations Strong interpersonal and communication skills Passion for delivering client-focused, trauma-informed care Comfortable with (or willing to learn) telehealth platforms and EHR documentation
