About Wafa House Wafa House is a culturally specific nonprofit organization serving survivors of domestic violence within Arab, South Asian, and Muslim communities. Wafa House provides culturally sensitive clinical mental health services, social services, and legal support. Our mission is to strengthen individuals in need of financial and emotional support while helping them build safety, stability, and a strong sense of community. Position Purpose The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and clinical supervision to counseling staff to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care for survivors of domestic violence and related mental health concerns. This role supports clinicians in case management, treatment planning, crisis intervention, diagnosis, and ethical practice while promoting the highest standard of client-centered care.

Hybrid/Remote (New Jersey-based)
Hours:
Part-Time (10-15 hours per week)
Compensation:
$70+/hour (Hourly rate commensurate with experience, supervisory qualifications, and nonprofit clinical leadership experience). Key Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision and behavioral health consultation for counseling staff Offer crisis intervention support and guidance on complex clinical cases Conduct intake assessments and assist with treatment planning Review clinical documentation, progress notes, and TherapyNotes for compliance and quality Develop and review safety plans and danger assessments for domestic violence survivors Support clinicians with diagnosis, treatment goals, and individualized care strategies Guide clinicians in addressing psychological distress and presenting concerns Provide psychoeducation strategies and therapeutic approaches for client care Hold weekly meetings with the clinical team to review concerns, progress, and case consultation Ensure ethical practice, sound professional judgment, and culturally responsive care Perform additional duties as assigned in support of organizational goals Qualifications Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required License must be active and in good standing Must meet professional requirements outlined by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Prior experience in clinical supervision or a related leadership role preferred Strong assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention skills Knowledge of documentation standards and clinical case management practices Ability to respond effectively to domestic violence crisis situations using ethical and professional judgment Experience working with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic populations Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities Ability to deliver care across multiple platforms, including telehealth and virtual services Commitment The Clinical Director is expected to demonstrate ongoing commitment to the values, mission, and vision of Wafa House and contribute to creating a supportive, empowering environment for both clients and staff.
