Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Therapist to join our mental health and behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions across outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings. The Clinical Therapist will play a vital role in supporting clients through crisis management, behavioral challenges, and recovery processes while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation.

Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety. Deliver specialized counseling services including PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with people with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. Utilize
ICD-9, ICD-10
coding for accurate medical records documentation and CPT coding for billing purposes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans and coordinate care for patients with complex needs such as chronic pain or geriatrics. Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards by ensuring confidentiality of medical records and patient data during all phases of treatment. Engage in research activities related to clinical practices or behavioral health outcomes. Participate in intake procedures via telehealth or in-person visits to evaluate patient needs and establish appropriate treatment pathways. Document progress notes meticulously and contribute to data collection efforts for clinical research initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, group therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA). Strong background in child & family counseling, working with children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, crisis management protocols, and social work principles. Familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems, CPT coding, medical terminology, and electronic medical records systems. Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms is preferred. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care and mental health counseling. Relevant licensure or certification in clinical counseling or social work; additional specialties such as addiction counseling or psychopharmacology are a plus.
