Job Description

Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County. We are currently recruiting for a Clinician IV position within our Child & Adolescent department. This position will provide direct therapeutic interventions to individuals, families and groups with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health or developmental disabilities . Job Responsibilities Provide individual, family, and group counseling and psychotherapy with children, adolescents and their families. Complete assessments, evaluations, diagnosis, and service planning of the population served Develop recovery oriented and strength based service plans with measurable objectives. Serves as a consultant to other staff and community agencies regarding assessment and diagnosis, coordination of services, and referrals Other duties as assigned.
Monday- Friday:
Standard Business Hours. Hybrid schedule (Remote/Work-Site) depending on program needs. Skills and Qualifications Must have the ability to treat co-occurring disorders including knowledge of group counseling techniques, family systems, and motivational interviewing Must be able to prepare a comprehensive recovery-oriented treatment plan according to agency guidelines. Ability to maintain an objective, professional and calm relationship with individuals and groups in a stressful situation One year of providing clinical services to children and their families or providing clinical services to adolescents with co-occurring disorders and their families preferred. Valid driver's license is required. Master's Degree in a human services field required. Must hold a valid license from the Board of Counseling ( LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT, or LSATP ) required DMV record must be submitted with application.
