Job Description

We're assisting an employer in their search for a full-time, hybrid Employee Assistance Counselor (EAP) Clinical Specialist in Green Bay, WI. This role is dedicated to supporting the United States Postal Service (USPS) Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The Clinical Consultant delivers comprehensive behavioral health services, including short-term counseling, problem-solving, consultation, training, and critical incident response. This is a hybrid position requiring a combination of in-office work and local travel. Key Responsibilities Direct Counseling & Clinical Support Provide short-term counseling and coaching via in-person, phone, and video sessions. Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial and risk assessments, including substance use evaluations. Respond to high-acuity, crisis, and critical incident situations using sound clinical judgment. Consultation, Triage & Leadership Support Deliver telephonic triage, consultation, and referrals for routine to complex cases through the Service Center. Provide consultation, training, and support to USPS and union leadership. Navigate high-risk or emergent situations with professionalism and clinical expertise. Program Promotion & Operational Support Promote EAP services and provide psychological first aid during workforce-impacting events. Participate in rotational or overflow call coverage to maintain continuous service delivery. Support program visibility and engagement across the workforce. Qualifications Required Master's degree in a clinical mental health field from an accredited institution. Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate clinical experience. Active, independent clinical licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) in the state(s) of practice. Demonstrated experience conducting bio-psychosocial and risk assessments. Training and experience in telephonic and video-based counseling. Knowledge of federal and state laws related to confidentiality, duty to warn, and mandated reporting. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally. Ability to work independently without required clinical supervision. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance . U.S. citizenship for a minimum of 5 years. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). The employer offers a salary range of 70-80k with a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
