In this role, you will harness the therapeutic power of horses combined with evidence-based counseling techniques to promote emotional healing, personal growth, and resilience among diverse client populations . We have several locations in Colorado, and are recently branching out in the Elizabeth area. We have openings for fully licensed, or Associate licensed therapists that practice as an Equine Therapist. There are additional possibilities for traditional therapy or you can function as a part time therapist in Equine therapy only. This can be a full or part time position. We will provide supervision at no charge for qualified Associate level therapists that have completed a Master's program. We are looking for part-time to full-time clinicians who desire the unique opportunity of working on a private practice team. Position Include:
Must have completed a Masters program and be working on supervision hours Must hold a License with DORA as a mental health therapist
LPC, LPCC
etc Experience working with horses; PATH or EGALA training a plus but we can train you Must pass background check CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to get certified Experience helping individuals and couples A positive approach toward client care The ability to work some weekend or evening hours preferred (weekday hours are available) Willingness to work with young clients preferred Must demonstrate willingness to utilize technology driven support services We offer: Comfortable and casual work environment with bright cheerful offices No fees charged for supervision hours Paid Malpractice Insurance Paid position while earning supervision hours within a private practice setting Intuitive/ user friendly electronic client note system that reduces paperwork time All the support , clerical and marketing staff to support and replenish a case load with ease All the supplies, tools and resources needed to practice therapy in the modality and manner you choose Matched 401K retirement plan Paid sick time off flexible schedule with the ability to work from home if you choose or the ability to work in an office if you choose Preference given to those wanting to see clients in person Responsibilities Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions integrating equine-assisted therapy methods with traditional counseling practices. Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate client goals, therapeutic needs, and the unique benefits of working with horses. Facilitate engaging activities involving horses that promote emotional regulation, behavior management, confidence building, and social skills development. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including instructors, coaches, and childcare providers to support holistic client progress. Maintain detailed documentation of client sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with licensing standards and organizational policies. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients during all therapeutic activities, including managing behavior challenges effectively. Participate in ongoing training related to equine therapy techniques, trauma-informed care, child development, and behavior management strategies. Qualifications Active licensure as an LPC, LPCC, LCSW, LMFT or LMFTC in good standing. Prior experience working with children and adolescents in mental health settings or educational environments. Demonstrated knowledge of behavior management techniques and trauma-informed care approaches. Experience working with horses or in equine-assisted therapy is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary. Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate clients and collaborate effectively with team members. .
Pay:
$30,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
