Overview Join our dedicated team as a Frontline Trauma Clinical Counselor, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate mental health support to first responders, individuals experiencing trauma, crisis, and behavioral health challenges. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to deliver immediate, evidence-based interventions in private practice as well as potentially helping with wellness visits with first responder departments. We are also a Christian practice and care about our connection as a team. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify trauma-related needs, including PTSD and grief counseling. Deliver individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, and other trauma modalities. Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage acute care situations with professionalism and sensitivity. Collect and document medical records, clinical notes, and treatment progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ICD coding standards (ICD-10/ICD-9). Maintain confidentiality at a higher level of care for our first responders. Coordinate case management activities, including intake procedures, patient care planning, and follow-up assessments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans. Maintain accurate medical documentation using CPT coding and ensure timely data collection for research purposes. Experience Proven experience working with children, families, or individuals and longevity at previous positions. Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, triage, and acute behavioral health care Strong background in social work or mental health counseling with familiarity in behavioral management techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology, mental health diagnoses (ICD coding), and medical records management. Experience conducting intake assessments, patient evaluation, and delivering culturally competent care across diverse populations. Previous work or volunteer roles in ministry a plus. We like to see individuals who have worked to build healthy community and have a servant mindset. This is part time or full time role at either location. At the moment we mainly have late afternoon, evening and Saturday office space. Please DO NOT apply if you are wanting this to be a 2nd job.
