This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialized counseling services, crisis intervention, and behavioral health support tailored to the unique challenges faced by first responders. Your expertise will help foster resilience, promote recovery, and enhance overall mental health outcomes within this critical community. We are a Christian practice and value our company culture and vision. We are in need of a part-time therapist for evenings or weekend hours especially. Duties Conduct thorough intakes and diagnostic assessments for first responders experiencing stress, trauma, or mental health concerns. Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed approaches. EMDR is a plus!! Implement crisis management strategies and intervene effectively during acute mental health emergencies or behavioral crises. Offer specialized support including PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavior management tailored to the needs of emergency personnel. Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and detailed case notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ICD coding standards (ICD-9/ICD-10). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans and coordinate case management efforts. Utilize telehealth platforms to extend counseling services remotely, ensuring accessibility for all clients regardless of location. Header Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure a MUST. Proven experience in behavioral health counseling, crisis intervention, or clinical therapy within hospital or outpatient settings. Strong knowledge of mental health disorders such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is highly desirable. Experience working with first responders or emergency personnel is a plus; training in addiction counseling, grief therapy, or psychopharmacology is beneficial. Proficiency in medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and HIPAA compliance standards. Skilled in applying therapeutic techniques including motivational interviewing, applied behavior analysis, social work principles, and group therapy facilitation.
