Job Description

Full-Time Forensic Mental Health Clinician:
Middlesex Juvenile Court Clinic About Us:
Adolescent Consultation Services (ACS), a nonprofit mental health agency serving the Middlesex County Juvenile Courts of Massachusetts, is seeking diverse qualified applicants for a full-time clinician position. ACS provides evaluation, consultation, and treatment services to the Juvenile Courts in Cambridge, Framingham, Lowell, and Waltham. This position is based at our Lowell site with the possibility of infrequent coverage at our other sites. Essential Functions:
Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of youth who are before the Juvenile Court on a variety of matters: child requiring assistance applications, delinquency cases, care and protection matters, and emergency mental health and substance use evaluations. Communicate with juvenile court personnel, attorneys, schools, community providers, the district attorney's office, the Department of Children and Families, and other stakeholders, to gather pertinent information and to provide consultation and coordination of care. Complete comprehensive written reports to be submitted to the court on behalf of the child and family. Provide oral testimony to the court regarding the findings of certain evaluations. Assist families with referrals to behavioral health providers and/or other services as needed. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A Master's degree in social work, counseling, or similar field, from an accredited graduate school program. Independently licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. LICSW strongly preferred Excellent writing skills and experience writing thorough diagnostic evaluations. At least two years of experience working with at-risk youth and families. Strong diagnostic skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual candidates, especially English/Spanish and English/Portuguese. An interest in forensic psychology and prior forensic experience. Knowledge of services available for children and families. Strong preference will be given to candidates who are presently enrolled in the statewide CJCC I certification program, or are already a CJCC I certified juvenile court clinicians.
Salary and Benefits:
Full-time starting salary range $75,000 - $85,000 annually. (Compensation is based on education, related work experience, licensure, and other qualifications.)
